What I do for work:
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Grew up in Greene, NY (about an hour south of Syracuse). Army brought me here to the Springs, and now I live in the mountains in Woodland Park.
When I started running and what got me started:
Back in high school, but serious since about 2013.
What does running mean to me:
Running keeps me going, physically and mentally. I used to be on a bunch of prescription pain medication for disabilities caused during my Army time. Running has helped get me off all of them.

Not there yet, but I'm coming for you!
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Trail running is so much nicer on my knees. One of my body issues is my knees and I was out from running for about 6 months after I did my first ever road marathon in Vancouver, BC. I've done marathon distance on the trails since then with no issues.
Favorite running trail and why:
I love them all.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Barr Trail Race so far. The climbing and technical aspects really appeal to me.
Best running experience:
Xterra Nationals at Snowbasin Utah. I pushed and pushed and finally caught up to some folks with about a mile left. I ended up passing them all but one going up the final hill. On the decent I gave it everything into a full sprint and caught the guy for a tie across the line. The look in his eye when he figured out I was going to pass him, and then the effort it took him to keep me at bay was priceless.
Worst running experience:
Doing very well in the Collegiate Peaks 25 miler. At mile 20 I hit IT Band issues on my left knee and had to walk the last 5 miles. I lost so many places and so much time. Very disappointing, but hey, I finished that thing.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Passion, excitement, and pure exhilaration.
Running related bathroom stop story:
For some reason I always end up in the port a john at the bolder boulder 10k. I never perform well there because of stomach issues.
Running pet peeves:
Judging a runner by their size, gait, and weight. Don't judge folks. They are out there running and that's better than 99% of the population.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I used to be a professional singer. It's true! LOL.
Other hobbies and interests:
Motorcycles, old cars, tattoos, and traveling.
Training to obtain my best. No idea where the top is yet, but I'm in search for it.
