Family members:

What I do for work:
Tunstall Americas Manager of our field installers and manager of our Loveland office (from afar)
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
I am here from the Milwaukee area in Wisconsin where I had lived all my life. We have been in Colorado for over 7 years now with no plans to leave. Started in Colorado Springs and kept moving west until we ended up buying a house in Woodland Park.
When I started running and what got me started:
Middle school track, I wanted to run farther and faster than any other girl. Continued to be a closet runner from then on as we didn't have a XC team in high school.
What does running mean to me:
An escape. If I'm stressed or about to lose it on someone I love, running helps calm me down and makes me think more clearly.
Running accomplishments:
Multiple marathons ( including a few at the end of Ironmans) and two 50Ks, one 50 miler. Pikes Peak Ascent, PP Marathon and soon the Double!
What I like about trail/mountain running:
The time flies by because if you look at anything, even your watch you can trip and wipe out. Instead of going to church on Sundays I feel more spiritual by going for a long run in a beautiful area and appreciating the earth.
Favorite running trail and why:
Lovell Gulch in Woodland Park, I can make it a quick hour if I drive there or nearly two if I run. It's challenging and beautiful.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Ice Age 50 in La Grange, WI. It's really the only complete trail race I've done, but it's a blast.
Best running experience:
Getting 2nd in the CO-Ed 50K Relay in Wisconsin with my boyfriend. It's always a fun experience with him around.
Worst running experience:
DisneyWorld Marathon in 2003. I was prepared for warm Florida weather so I had shorts and a singlet, while it was 30 degrees at the beginning of the race. I don't think my legs ever warmed up, which made it farily painful the next day.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Friends
Running related bathroom stop story:
Running pet peeves:
The slow people who go at the front of the start line and then you have to climb over them to get on your pace. Also, people who hem and haw at the start of the race giving excuses as to why they are about to do horribly...then don't come to the race!
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I'm addicted to the Food Network, but I really don't cook.
Other hobbies and interests:
Triathlon, mountain biking, snow shoeing, adventure racing and I just did and fell in love with Xterra (off-road) triathlon.
Other stuff:
I love ice cream and wine, which is why it is good that I run. I read and knit like a crazy woman.
