City: COLORADO SPRINGS State: CO
Age: 53.7 years old
Marital Status: Single
What I do for work:
I work with the Developmentaly Disabled
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
I grew up in Orange County, California, living from North end to South. I last lived in Laguna Beach before I moved to Colorado Springs. I could'nt take the congestion in CA. anymore. I love the mountains. I'm in the mountains more than I was in the ocean.
When I started running and what got me started:
I started doing the "Incline" with a friend shortly after moving here about 2 years ago. We would hike up and run down. I never did much running before that. About 6 months ago I got to know someone who was into running and slowly I've gotten into it myself. Now I'm hooked.
Running accomplishments:
Making it up Longs Ranch Road and back to the car.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Even though it can be really difficult sometimes, especially when I'm gasping for air, struggling to get up a hill. I feel more alive when I'm running... even more so when I'm in the mountians.
Favorite running trail and why:
I like Waldo Canyon a lot.
Best running experience:
I was running down from Barr Camp a coulple of months ago and had one of those euphoric moments I've heard that runners get. It was incredible. It felt so good to be alive and running.
Worst running experience:
I've had a couple of nasty falls I hope to never revisit.
Running pet peeves:
Trash or graffiti on the trail
Other hobbies and interests:
I love to swim.
