10 years ago to stay competitive in a young man's hockey league.

What does running mean to me:

Running accomplishments:
Better than expected results in the few events I've run.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
Very new to this but devoted hiker and retired (dang it) mountain biker.

Best running experience:
In this year's Ute Valley Leg of the Fall Series, I discovered that tough training pays off - finished 50th.

Worst running experience:
Last year's Bear Creek leg having run mostly flat surfaces in prep.

Running related bathroom stop story:
Last year's Bear Creek leg having run mostly flat surfaces in prep.

Running pet peeves:
Injuries that pop up from my 40 something body. I'll take 'em though.

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Cool travel stories.

Other hobbies and interests:
Seasonal sports guy that transitions from hiking and running to skiing and hockey to cycling and tennis. Dedication for the Ascent will be tough!

Other stuff:
Goal: bag my 30th 14'er by competing in the '08 Ascent.
