Family members:
My daughter graduated from UNC Greeley as a nurse and works on a Med-Surg floor at a local hospital. My son is a Junior at CU in Boulder.

What I do for work:
Colorado Springs Utilities

Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
I was born in Erie, PA and moved to Colorado Springs when I started High School at Wasson. The Springs is pretty much my home town.

When I started running and what got me started:
I started running in college to stay in shape and decided to run in my first Ascent in 1980.

What does running mean to me:
To relax and get mentally stronger

Ascent - 1981 & 1992, Vancouver, BC marathon 2002, NYC marathon 2004, Chicago marathon 2006. Finlayson Arm 50K on Vancouver Island September 2016.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
I like the variety, scenery and the accomplishment

Favorite running trail and why:
Cheyenne area, with the diverse trails up the Canyon

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Imogene Pass - Beautiful scenery!!!

Best running experience:
Vancouver marathon

Worst running experience:
New York City marathon in the last 5 miles.

Running pet peeves:
Well, I don't really have any. I guess I would say that when runners do the yo-yo effect during marathons. They pass you, walk a bit, pass you, walk a bit, etc......

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I am working on getting my Professional Engineer certification in Chemical Engineering
