How badly do you want it?
City: Colorado Springs State: CO
Age: 25 years old
Marital Status: Single
When I started running and what got me started:
I started running seriously in May 2013 and have had a love for it ever since. The thing that got me motivated to run was when people told me "no" or that I "couldn't" accomplish my goals.
What does running mean to me:
Running is a healthy outlet for me during stressful times. It's a release. It means I can let out some negative energy in a positive way.
10k=33:46 (Estes Park 10k Course Record set in 2014)
What I like about trail/mountain running:
I like the challenge of it. It's different from the average trail, road, or track.
Favorite running trail and why:
I really like places like Gold Camp and Rampart Range Road in the Garden. Can go at a good clip and get some solid elevation gain.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Being new to mountain running, time will tell. I honestly just love the mountains, the challenge, and competition.
Best running experience:
Definitely nothing like setting a course record. Ran 33:46 at the Estes Park 10k in June 2014. The elevation of the course stands roughly at 7,500 feet. Breaking 16 for the 5k in California as a UCCS runner is a fond memory too. Yet, I'm not satisfied because I know I'm capable of so much more. The best is yet to come!
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I've been inside the White House.
