Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Wisconsin, Colorado. Because Colorado is just so much cooler than anywhere else.
When I started running and what got me started:
Getting in shape for wrestling.
What does running mean to me:
Time to get out to the trails.
Running accomplishments:
50K, Several marathons, bunch of goofy t-shirts.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Being outside in nature. The trail makes it seems less difficult when in actually becomes more.
Favorite running trail and why:
Pike lake state park. Always my place to go when I need an "attitude adjustment". I always leave in a good mood.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Ice Age 50. Huge challenge, great fun, awesome people in the middle of a hilly forest.
Best running experience:
Running through lapham peak with snow falling, trees covered, seemed surreal....
Worst running experience:
Last three miles of Xterra milwaukee, throwing up, heading the hospital, not fun.
Neatest thing found on a run:
My love of running through the woods, going through turns so fast I have to lean, the little kid inside.
Running related bathroom stop story:
Muncie 1/2 ironman, having to pee. Stopping at a porta john, Finally, only to have to wait for someone. Ended up peeing behind a tree as the person I was waiting for was having "intestinal issues".
Running pet peeves:
Running partner always needing to be a step ahead, in the lead, no matter what pace we are running.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Love to plant flowers and watch the birds.
Other hobbies and interests:
Rock climbing, mt biking, anything outside. Even Golf.
Other stuff:
Love movies of almost any kind, huge sweet tooth for fummy treats.
