When I started running and what got me started:
Sometime in high school because my father started running and I wanted to see how far I could run
What does running mean to me:

Running a 30:09 8K; Breaking 19 minutes for 5K; Running 6:30 pace for a half marathon. Organizing the first US Women's Mountain Running Team in '95 and seeing the team as back-to-back gold medalists in '06 and '07 and again gold in 2012...with a mix of many more medals along the way and since.
What I like about trail/mountain running:

Favorite running trail and why:
Always finding a new trail somewhere. Many favorites.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Any race that I finish and feel challenged. I especially liked races I have run in Canada, New Zealand, and Europe.
Best running experience:
Silver medal at the World Masters Mountain Running Championships in Wales in 2015.
Worst running experience:
Rotating my cuboid bone (foot) in '93 during the Kendall Mountain Race.
Other hobbies and interests:
horseback riding, travel, jigsaw puzzle building, crossword puzzles, reading, photography, cycling, pool running if you can believe it!
To be injury free and stay that way.
