When I started running and what got me started:
A little bit in CA for local races (5k, 10k). HP events got me into running Ute and Barr. HP runners are great support and encouraged me to gain strength so now I'm able to run with them regularly
What does running mean to me:
Escape, me-time
Running accomplishments:
View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
Late bloomer and improving every year. Starting to place in my age division
What I like about trail/mountain running:
If you don't focus, you're on the ground. That means, that I can't solve the world's or my problems when running. I'm truly escaping...
Favorite running trail and why:
Luv the trails around Mt Herman, between Palmer resv and Mt Herman
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
BTMR - 6 miles up is hard but oh, so fun running down
Best running experience:
First time up the Peak during HP event. That started my addiction
Worst running experience:
Besides the occassional bad run, don't have one yet...
Running pet peeves:
Dog owners who don't remove waste from the middle of the trail
