When I started running and what got me started:
2009 Bolder Boulder - I wanted to run with my marathon racer-son Timothy Lankford and I wanted to do the Bolder-Boulder once in my life.

What does running mean to me:
It makes me feel great, it is social, and it is a challenge.

Running accomplishments:
not any - I am an extreme tenderfoot.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
It is away from cars, and the downhill feels like a combination of dancing and flying.

Favorite running trail and why:
Barr Trail because it is so gentle and well maintained and nearby!

Best running experience:
Running down Humboldt Peak at age 61 with a young man from France 40 years my junior.

Other hobbies and interests:
travelling and hiking in Eastern Tibet
