What I do for work:
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Born in GA, Raised in Houston TX, Lived in Atlanta GA for seven years.
Now I am in heaven. Colorado Springs is all about being outdoors
When I started running and what got me started:
Seven years old. I ran with my dad when he was not playing tennis
What does running mean to me:
Being outside. Breathing fresh air. Feeling some pain.
Always feeling great when I finish!

Ran Atlanta 1/2 Marathon in 1994(or 3).
Ran Atlanta marathon in 1995.
Ran 7 miler in Palmer Park in 2003. Very hard!
Tahoe Rim Trail 50 Miler in 2005. Good Times!!
What I like about trail/mountain running:
No cars or exhaust.
Favorite running trail and why:
Section 16: Very hard uphill and very rewarding rolling downhills and you can be done in an hour when rushed to pick up the kids.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
2004 Rescue Run.
I kicked Mike Shafai's *ss by 4 SECONDS!!!!!!!
Best running experience:
Running in formation in Basic training in pouring rain.
Worst running experience:
When Mike Shafai beat me in the 2005 Rescue run by 4 SECONDS. No Joke look it up!!
Neatest thing found on a run:
Running with wife and brother on trail in Atlanta.
Came up on two girls "photographing" one another in the woods.
The look on their faces was pretty amusing.
Running related bathroom stop story:
Missed it by three houses. Enough said:)
Running pet peeves:
Running in traffic. I have to do a lot of that since I am on the road quite a bit.
People who don't smile and say hello. Fake it if you have to!
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I used to jump out of airplanes.
Other hobbies and interests:
Golf, tennis, hiking, camping, wrestling with my wife and kids.
Want to run pikes ascent or marathon, Tahoe rim trail 50 miler.
Advice: Life is entirely to short to spend it around unhappy people.
