When I started running and what got me started:
Ran Cross Country & Track as a sophomore, continued through high school. I didn't run in college, wasn't good enough. Started running again in 1980 after I joined the work force. I ran a 4-mile company race (Union Carbide) and did okay, considering I wasn't running. That got me hooked and began what I call my "marathon days" in the early 1980s.
What does running mean to me:
It's varied over the years. Today it means fitness, feeling a sense of accomplishment, and allows me to satisfy my sweet tooth.
