"Running is a big question mark that’s there each and every day. It asks you, ‘Are you going to be a wimp or are you going to be strong today?'" - Pet

When I started running and what got me started:
I started in late high school for fun. I never ran for a team, but played team sports so it was a good opportunity to do something on my own.
What does running mean to me:
Running means pushing myself harder, and being thankful that I can get out there and just be.
Running accomplishments:
View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
What I like about trail/mountain running:
It's spicey!!!
Favorite running trail and why:
Probably spend most of the time on the Barr trail, but like Waldo, and for a flat run the Sante fe trail.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Barr trail mtn. race, even though I threw up afterwards this year!!! But I still placed 4th in my age group so it was worth it... I like it because it is only 12.4 miles----but damn it works you over.
Best running experience:
Honestly-----participating in the Colorado Outward Bound Relay and doing a 8 mile run in the middle of the night under a nice bright moon. It was a rather surreal moment...
Worst running experience:
Tossing cookies is always a bad experience.... Hence, the first time was after my first marathon.. I was 20 y/o and even though I qualified for Boston, I was severely dehydrated and puked out the car window....
Neatest thing found on a run:
A nice buff for my head!
Running related bathroom stop story:
Ok----so there are too many to just write one. So----the one thing I do now to try and prevent these stories is on my fridge in my house I have a list that I add to it... It is called "Things NOT to eat before a long run..."
Running pet peeves:
Unfriendly peeps... If you are that miserable find a new hobby!
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I eloped this past April and didn't tell my parents until a month later..... I could probably make money off of the footage.
Other hobbies and interests:
Mtn biking, road biking, rock climbing, hiking, snowboarding, I love to cook and bake!
