What I like about trail/mountain running:
Trail and Mountain running is so much fun!! You have so many obstacles to tackle and the sites are just beautiful.
Favorite running trail and why:
Newlin Creek Trail because it's all uphill with lots of technical spots and great a training trail. Also Barr Trail its fun to run down teaching you fast feet, but also a great challenge going up!
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
The Pikes Peak Ascent! Out of all the races the Pikes Peak Ascent was my most favorite and I want to do it again!
Best running experience:
2018 State Cross Country Meet: That was the neatest experience, the best part is when I crossed the creek into the stadium and placing 6th! 2019: State Track Meet The best part was qualifying for 3 events :) Place 4th and 5th in the 2 hardest events!
Worst running experience:
2020 Cross Country State Championships, had I of run my normal time I could have been 1st or 2nd instead I had the worst race of the year. I felt tired and had a lack of energy. I will have to make up for it in track :D
Neatest thing found on a run:
A secret waterfall and pond along a trail it is so much fun and is a great place to cool off on your run! :)
Running related bathroom stop story:
Haven't had one yet and hope to never have one.
Running pet peeves:
When people don't respect the trails! For example all the people that cut down Barr trail and ruin it!
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
That I can drive a standard! And I also love to rodeo and Mtn. Bike! :)-
Other hobbies and interests:
I not only run but I'm learning to Team Rope (for rodeo), I love to rock climb, ski, mountain bike and swim!
Other stuff:
To be able to run the Ascent again! And one day try running the Pikes Peak Marathon!! I love running so much and I hope to one day be a competitor in a Skyrace :)
