Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Minnesota (BRRR!), Indiana, Ohio, California and New York. I love Colorado! It's great to be able to run, bike, hike, etc. pretty much year round and plenty of great trails to choose from.
When I started running and what got me started:
1995 - after college a swimming teammate talked me into doing triathlons. I'd been fairly successful "surviving" the runs on shorter mountain bike triathlons while only training for the swim and the bike. This same teammate decided that we needed to do a real road bike triathlon and entered us into the race...without telling me first that it was a 1/2 Ironman! Thus, my running career began.
What does running mean to me:
A great way to releive stress, enjoy the outdoors, and explore. I travel a lot for work and going out for a run is the best way to see and explore a new place.

Completed 2 road marathons (2004 and 2005), and 1 Pikes Peak Marathon (2008).
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Love being out in the mountains and enjoying the outdoors.
Favorite running trail and why:
Fox Run regional park trails - favorite place to run and/or snowshoe (in the winter) with my dogs.
Best running experience:
Running along the ocean on the beach - anywhere!
Running pet peeves:
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
A very good friend once described me as "low maintenance with very expensive taste!" I have a BIG addiction to retail therapy when it involves designer shoes.
Other hobbies and interests:
Swimming, cycling, hiking, golf, reading
