I love the mountains and the diversity of recreational opportunities in and around the springs.
When I started running and what got me started:
I began running cross country in high school to train for soccer back in 2001.
What does running mean to me:
Relaxation and endurance.

Denver Marathon - 2013 Las Vegas Half Marathon - 2012 Tybee Half Marathon - 2009, 2008, 2007, 2005 Myriad of personal training runs - 13+ miles

Distraction from distance and being tired

Running Wilmington Island in Savannah

Talking on the phone; frog hopping
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I have explored 70+ horizontal and vertical caves throughout the east; rappelled New River Gorge Bridge in West Virginia (876') and Hallucinogen Wall in Black Canyon of Gunnison NP (1500'+).

Biking, climbing, hiking, cycling

I hope to explore more trails and natural spaces in the Pikes Peak region and Colorado through running.
