Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Born and raised in Dallas TX but I got here as soon as I could. Love Colorado Springs, great place to raise a family.
When I started running and what got me started:
In 2009 I had a buddy talk me into running the St. Patrick's Day 5K in downtown Colorado Springs. Loved the race day competition but hated being slow. I want to go fast.
What does running mean to me:
It's my time.
Running accomplishments:
View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
In Sept of 2010 I ran the ADT half marathon in 1:51. I didn't break any land speed records however, it qualified me for the 2011 Pikes Peak Ascent which I am proud to say I trained for and ultimately finished in 4:26!
What I like about trail/mountain running:
The scenery.
Favorite running trail and why:
Barr Trail, it's the only one I've ran.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak Ascent. It's the only one I have ran!
Best running experience:
When your mind quits focusing on any body discomfort and just roams free.
Worst running experience:
Treadmills (a necessary evil).
Neatest thing found on a run:
Twenty bucks.
Running related bathroom stop story:
I'm a guy, we are pretty gross and will go anywhere.
Running pet peeves:
People who cut you off or won't move aside during a race. This isn't NASCAR folks.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Completely freaked out by clowns and spiders. My daughter wants to genetically engineer a clown-spider just to torture me.
Other hobbies and interests:
Spending time with my family, anything NFL related, ultimate frisbee, and fishing.
