What I do for work:
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Colorado is awesome! I've always wanted to do high altitude training.
When I started running and what got me started:
Seven years ago. I had a Forrest Gump kind of moment. "I just felt like runnin!"
What does running mean to me:
To me it means a lot of different things; but fitness, meeting people, and having fun are the most important things to me for now.
So far: Lots of short distance (under ten miles) runs, 2 half marathons and 3 Sprint-distance Triathlons in Hawaii, 1 sprint Tri in Arizona, and recently did the Cresent Moon Tri up in Cherry Creek, CO.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
It's not boring, like running on the side of the road.
Favorite running trail and why:
Don't know yet.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Don't know yet.
Best running experience:
Great Aloha Run! It was one of my best running times I ever had, so that's when I started really getting into running.
Worst running experience:
First 40k... On Schofield Army Base, HI... I bonked at mile 13 because I wasn't hydrated and threw up on the side of the road.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Running related bathroom stop story:
None that I can think of... I dont mind peeing behind a Pine Tree even though it doesn't provide much cover...
Running pet peeves:
Dogs that dart in front of me, causing me to trip and fall on my face...
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Um, lemme get back to you on that...
Other hobbies and interests:
almost anything that gives me an adrenaline rush...
My goal is to be able to keep up with the pack. Yes, it will probably take a while, but I'm stubborn.
