Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Denver and Colorado Springs
Colorado is sunny and has nice people. I've always lived here, but I dearly appreciate it.
When I started running and what got me started:
In 2003 I joined my first club to keep fit and make some friends before that I ran 2-3mi a few times a week for fitness
What does running mean to me:
It is a great time to connect with people, focus internally, or even meditate. It just depends on the day. I'm not necessarily hooked on running, but I do believe in staying fit and active.

Phoenix Rock and Roll Marathon, Denver Marathon, Pikes Peak Ascent, lots of half marathons and lots of fun shorter distance races just for being out in the crowd
What I like about trail/mountain running:
I love seeing nature and being in nature. I like the focus of the trail and being aware of the world surrounding me. There is always lots of variety in trails - lots of small goals to be accomplished.
Favorite running trail and why:
Georgia Pass (part of the Colorado Relay). My first training run over Georgia Pass was magical. It was with good friends and there were tons of mushrooms everywhere. The mushrooms were large, small, a variety of colors, and many looked like they were out of a storybook. It was beautiful!
Best running experience:
There are so many it is hard to choose!
Colorado Relay running over Vail pass in the night and finishing well before the estimated time. Everyone was asleep in the car and I had to wake the next runner. Time went so quickly running under the full moon through the mountains. Just a beautiful run!
Worst running experience:
For my first trail run, I decided to run by myself to try it out. I ran up the Apex trail, took a side trail and got a bit lost. The run took more than twice as long as anticipated, I ran out of water, got overheated, and turned the wrong way on the trail that was to lead back to the car.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Running pet peeves:
People being disrespectful to other trail users. Just because we are running and working hard doesn't mean we always have the right of way!
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Someone else told me this was a good one. At one time I was a licensed stage combatant.
Other hobbies and interests:
enjoying and appreciating life, the people and things around me; Reading, working, cooking, traveling, education,
