Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
Little Rock and Petit Jean Mountain in Central Arkansas. Lots of trails to run.

When I started running and what got me started:
1990 Wanted to lose some weight (lost 70 pounds).

What does running mean to me:
Great way to get out and enjoy nature.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
Ran Boston Marathon twice, 4 Pikes Peak Marathon finishes under 5:50 with a PR of 5:25, finished Arkansas Traveller 100.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
I really enjoy mountains, since I grew up on one in Arkansas (even though it was not very tall).

Favorite running trail and why:
Syalmore Trail in northern Arkansas. Lots of elevation change and creek crossings.

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak, it just seems to draw me in.

Best running experience:
1993 Pikes Peak Marathon. PR'd with 5:25 Reached the top and heard that Matt Carpenter had just finished the race.

Worst running experience:
DNF at 95 Pikes Peak Marathon and subsequent trip to hospital.

Neatest thing found on a run:
I have not been to lucky in this category. Small change, tools, and one porn magazine.

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I play the piano.

Other hobbies and interests:
Mountain biking, golf, photography
