Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Texas, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Austria, Sweden, Romania, Colorado Even though we have lived in many interesting places, Colorado has been my and my family's favorite residence. We love being in the midst of such beauty.
When I started running and what got me started:
I have run off and on since the early 1970's when my brother was part of an experimental study directed by Kenneth Cooper, the founder of the Aerobic Center.
What does running mean to me:
Running provides a great opportunity to enjoy nature, prepare for a challenge, and be with friends.
Running accomplishments:

I have run a number of races around the world. But my greatest accomplishment is preparing for the next race and running it in a manner which is appropriate from me.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
I love being in nature, breathing fresh air, feeling the change in temperature, seeing beautiful sites, experiencing the challenge of the next step, and developing relationships with those of similar values.
Favorite running trail and why:
Barr Trail is my favorite because of its diversity.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak Ascent is hard to beat. (And I mean that in as many ways as you can interpret it.)
Best running experience:
Pikes Peak Ascent
Worst running experience:
Spraining an ankle on the Barr Trail in a training run.
Neatest thing found on a run:
The special thoughts of a family member or friend as we "talk" along the way.
