What I like about trail/mountain running:
Everything. The connection with nature. The lack of monotony. Watching my dogs' joy as they speed ahead of me.
Favorite running trail and why:
It's still Waldo Canyon. Always will be. The greatest loop with amazing little microclimates throughout.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Barr Trail Mountain Race because it remains small and primarily local. People are not there to check it off, but for the love of the running community.
Best running experience:
Every single day I get to run.
Worst running experience:
Never happened.
Neatest thing found on a run:
A mine opening at the end of the trail.
Running related bathroom stop story:
The 5 minute bathroom wait in the Philadelphia marathon prevented my qualifying for Boston by less than 2 minutes.
Running pet peeves:
People who ask you what you think about when you run.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Hate the beach. Love the ocean.
Other hobbies and interests:
Tree climbing, rock climbing.
Other stuff:
Love running at altitude over flat roads.
