7 years old, watching Lasse Viren, Emil Zatopek, and Peter Snell, later Jim Ryun
What does running mean to me:
fitness, enjoyment

50 miles in seven hours, 39 minutes Ascent of 3 miles @ 47% incline in 1 hour and 7 minutes
What I like about trail/mountain running:
the run, peace and quiet

many unamed
Best running experience:
24 hours of "Dave" , ran for 24 hours, non-stop, covered 147 miles
Worst running experience:
Any where I got injured, as I upped my mileage and trained smart my injury rate, which never was high, almost vanished.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Peace and solitude

Many, projectile diarrhea

Train hard , but train smart. Don't fall subject to the myopic view of social fitness. Running is free.
