What I like about trail/mountain running:
I like the variety of running trails and the beauty of the scenery.
Favorite running trail and why:
Cameron Park, Waco, TX - Beautiful limestone trails with challenging inclines, descents, cliffs and twists overlooking the Brazos River.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
I have not yet had the opportunity to run a mountain race.
Best running experience:
Armadillo Dash Half Marathon (my first 1/2)
Worst running experience:
I have finished every race. Every race is good if I finish it. I hope I never have anything but this to add to this box.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Not sure if "neat" would aptly describe this, but once I ran into wild hogs on a run at Fort Parker, TX...
Running related bathroom stop story:
The ladies I have had the opportunity to run with in Groesbeck, TX are a unique group with a small germ-a-phobic issue... we always pre-plan who is bringing a bottle of sanitizer (we only use one WE brought) and who is bringing the fresh roll of toilet paper in the plastic baggie for pre-race use...
Running pet peeves:
I cannot talk and run at the same time... it irritates me for someone to come up and talk to me... Not that I don't want to socialize, because I do... I just CAN NOT run and talk at the same time...
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
In school... I avoided school sponsored exercise like it was the plague... Always been outdoorsy, but not much one for competitive sports...
Other hobbies and interests:
Mountain biking, Working out, Currently back in college
