Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Tucson,AZ Edwards,CO & now CO Springs.
When I started running and what got me started:
In high school I ran track but specialized in sprints. In my adult life, I became passionate about endurance events. After finding cycling, running became my off season go to activity but now it is my number one with cycling being my off season & for commuting.
What does running mean to me:
A means to get out and experience nature & travel to new to me places. A way to push me beyond my comfort zone.

First Marathon - Hermit Pass Marathon, Sangre de Cristo Mtns
My first Ultra multi day event: The Golden Ultra - Blood, Sweat & Tears
Pikes Peak Marathon, Ascent
Imogene Pass Run, Lead King Loop
6 Half Marathons: 4 PF Changs in AZ, 1 Tucson & 1 Super Half
What I like about trail/mountain running:
It feels like dancing on the trails to your own rhythm playing in your head.
Favorite running trail and why:
Early mornings on the Barr Trail paired with the incline. Love the views and how you can get the heartrate bpms up!
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Lead King Loop in Marble CO - the scenery is beautiful during the time of the event (Fall), Lots of vertical and techie descents in Fall colors. It was the first time I had seen the Crystal Mill! Love the small town vibe and friendly people with the potluck food & raffle afterwards. The money raised goes to fund the local area school.
Best running experience:
Running the Golden Ultra in Canada. They were some of the best trails I've run on yet! Then I took time to run the Tea House Loop around Lake Louise. To be able to go from Turquoise lake up to glaciers and stop in at a tea house to get tea and then run around more beautiful lakes - it was surreal!
Worst running experience:
2017 Imogene Pass Run - hurt my knee during the descent and hobbled in for a finish after I had high expectations going into the event. Afterward, I was so happy to have even finished.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Running pet peeves:
Finding orange peels and pistachio shells on the trail, finding any type of garbage really. I pick up what I can and pack it out with me.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I have appeared in 2 cycling fitness videos for climbing Mt Lemmon in Tucson, AZ and Mt Evans in CO.
Other hobbies and interests:
Road cycling, mountain biking, hiking & photography.
Always looking for running or cycling friends and new to me races to experience!
