Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Beavercreek, Ohio (where I grew up)... San Angelo, Texas... Misawa Air Base, Japan... Colorado Springs, Colorado (all courtesy of the U.S. Air Force).
When I started running and what got me started:
Ran HS Cross-Country, but that was YEARS ago... begain running to stay in shape for the swimming season... now, I run when I can to stay / get in shape.
What does running mean to me:
Not as much as it should...

5k personal best in High School: 19:37... Boulder Peak Triathlon (olympic-distance) finisher in 2003, 2005, 2006, & 2009... Pikes Peak Ascent Finisher in 2007.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Time passes quicker & the views are better.
Favorite running trail and why:
Ute Valley Park... it so close to my house.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
N/A
Best running experience:
Boulder Peak Triathlon, 2003... it's great to feel great during a 10k (despite having just finished swimming & biking)... but that was when I was in good shape.
Worst running experience:
Boulder Peak Triathlon, 2007... exactly the opposite of above... I was in horrible shape & thought I was going to die.
Neatest thing found on a run:
A $5 bill.
Running related bathroom stop story:
I once was jogging along the flightline of a Japanese Air Base at midnight at Tsuiki Air Base in Japan. I had an explosive experience right on the taxiway.
Running pet peeves:
Wearing a cotton T-shirt on a hot & humid day.
Other hobbies and interests:
Mtn Biking... hanging out w/ my wife & kids... active at First Pres church.
Other stuff:
Goals: Beat my 2003 PR at the Boulder Peak Tri sometime in the future... Finish the Barr Trail Race one day.
