A daily outlet from life, a time to reflect and new adventures to explore.
View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
Breaking the 20 min. barrier in the 5K in college cross country. Running a personal best for my second marathon in Las Vegas in 1989, winning prize money and qualifying for my first Boston Marathon.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
The challenge and the beauty of it all.
Favorite running trail and why:
Have not met a trail that I didn't like equally well.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
2005 Summer Roundup 12K (Cheyenne Mountain High School). A fun, challenging single track trail with a lot of variety.
Best running experience:
2008 Boston Marathon....A great weekend with the Women's Olympic Marathon trials, great weather and spectacular crowds on Monday.
Worst running experience:
College Cross Country Regional Championship in a substantial snowstorm in Golden, CO where a wrong turn was taken by many that led to a longer race than expected.
Running pet peeves:
Bike riders that don't announce themselves when passing.
Other hobbies and interests:
hiking, rock climbing, cycling
Hoping that the body will hold up as I explore longer races...
