Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Couldn't think of living anywhere else but Colorado.
When I started running and what got me started:
I started running in 1979.
What does running mean to me:
Being active, running, cycling, swimming, triathlons means everything to me.
I donate all my finisher medals to children Congenital Heart Defect survivors.

Completed the 2010 New York City Marathon just 10 months after having open-heart surgery to repair a life threatening Congenital Heart Valve Defect that was not found until Oct. 2009.
� Completed 26.2 mile (Marathon) run on 12/23/2011 in 4:48
� Complete 52.4 Mile run in 11:37 on Feb. 14, 2011
� Completed Big Sur Marathon on May 1, 2011, just 2 weeks after having a Loop Back Recorder implanted in my chest
� Completed Colorado Colfax Marathon May 15, 2011
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Being alone with my thoughts, the serenity, and movement through beautiful mountains.
Favorite running trail and why:
Bart's Trail. It was my first experience running trails.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak Marathon of course!
Best running experience:
Running the 2010 NYC Marathon just 10 months after having open-heart surgery to repair a genetic heart defect leaking 50% of my blood backwards & Ventricular Arrhythmia that went undetected my entire life and was not found until Oct, 22, 2009
Worst running experience:
Summer 1997 - Running Pikes Peak, I got stuck in a snow storm at 13,000 ft in my tank top and shorts. The Army Core of nurses were hiking and save the day. It was my first.

Running pet peeves:
People that don't throw their gel packets away properly. Hike it in! Hike it out!
