What I do for work:
Membership Coordinator for local country club.
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Miami, FL, Mars Hill, N.C., Nashville, TN, Austin, TX, Houston, TX,...
I love this area because it is so active. The spirit to persevere regardless of the weather...knowing that our obstacles of hills and wind are dependable and not a gamble like coastal states :)
When I started running and what got me started:
Started running a couple of years ago. I needed a change and thought, one more try. It clicked.
What does running mean to me:
Still needing to build speed but the clarity and feeling of accomplishment is phenomenal. I have now become acclimated to cycling and running...next...glub, glub, glub. Bring it on triathlon.
Finished the Winter Series and a few others.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Favorite running trail and why:
Mt. Hermann...I don't know why, but I do.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Best running experience:
Finishing the last race of the Winter Series...I wasn't last. Close but not last. I never stopped once and I did it.
Worst running experience:
Let's not GO there!
Neatest thing found on a run:
A clearer, stronger sense of self. New ideas and ways of implementing them...a private therapy.
Running related bathroom stop story:
Again, let's not GO there!
Running pet peeves:
No more rules! I like music, I like dogs. The fact that there are few that have ruined it for the masses bothers me. I understand it, but for a novice...it really makes it difficult.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I still wish upon falling stars
Other hobbies and interests:
Spinning, cycling, personal training, reading of all sorts, photography, dogs and most of all hanging with my family.
I want to do 3 marathons in 2010 or a marathon and triathlon.
