Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
MD, WV, and a few other places but I have been here since 1989.

When I started running and what got me started:
When I was a kid I loved to run. It is just something that I have always enjoyed doing.

What does running mean to me:
For me running is what keeps me going, gives me something to do and helps to keep balance in my life. Running is meditation in motion for me.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
A few races here and there. I am still running so I consider that my greatest running accomplishment.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
I love being in the mountains or in the woods period. So being in the back country running is the greatest thing in the world for me.

Favorite running trail and why:
So many... Locally, Palmer Park Rim Trail is one of my favorites because it is short but never easy. Seven Bridges, Jones park, Bear Creek Canyon is another favorite. So many to choose from.

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Probably BTMR because it is short. For me in terms of "mountain running" I consider BTMR to be like running a 5k. It is shorter in relation to other runs but very intense... just like a 5k if ran right.

Worst running experience:
I'd say my worst running experience, next to this past years Ascent would be the Marathon in 2003. I went out too fast. Fell too far behind. Right after turning around to head down my ITB flared up in my right leg. It was a long day. Not so much bad but long.

Other hobbies and interests:
Bowhunting, camping, hiking, some photography.

Other stuff:
My goal for 2010 is to finish the Leadville Trail 100 in under 30 hours.
