What I do for work:
Work? Fortunately my work is play. I'm an Assistant Professor at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. My main areas of interest are exercise and altitude physiology.
Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
My friends call me the Urban Camper. I've lived on the floors of a few homes in the past couple decades, but ones in Colorado and Utah are the closest to my heart. I even spent a summer sleeping on the floor of the research base on the summit of Pike's Peak a couple years ago. Does that count?
When I started running and what got me started:
I started running in graduate school after I ran out of money for skiing.
What does running mean to me:
A challenge.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Location, location, location.
