I like to motivate myself for my long runs by watching movies about ordinary people doing extraordinary things...like robocop.

Engineer in the Army
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Born and raised in New Jersey...just got out to Colorado Springs. Love it here because of the trails!
When I started running and what got me started:
Started running seriously the summer before high school. Was trying to make the cross country team.
What does running mean to me:
It's my passion and my escape.
4 years of NCAA track and xc... top 15 in the inaugural Ozark Trail 100 (my first ultra)
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Favorite running trail and why:
Did the Mt. Herman loop the other day and loved it.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Still new to the sport.
Best running experience:
Out kicking a guy from the Navy cross country team down the stretch to give Army the one-point victory my senior year of college (last year).
Worst running experience:
Had some real low points in the Ozark 100...probably the worst was the 50 miles or so that I ran without being able to pee.
Neatest thing found on a run:
I'm always picking up junk for some reason.
Running related bathroom stop story:
Everyone's got them. A sub-four miler once told me at cross country meet, 'you've got to be prepared to do what you gotta do before you get in there so you get in and get out.'
Running pet peeves:
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I have a tattoo of the state of New Jersey on my back...expect to see it out on the trails.
Other hobbies and interests:
Getting back into drawing.
I want to complete my second 100 this summer if possible.
