When I started running and what got me started:
Started running in 1998 to keep busy after school.

Pain and the hope of another taper.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
The smells
Favorite running trail and why:
Seven Bridges. Because it was the first trail that had ever made me walk.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Leadville Trail Marathon. I have run the course but not the race. It has to be one of the best/most difficult course out there.
Best running experience:
The first time I realized a two hour run wasn't a long run.
Worst running experience:
2008 Teva mountain 10k. Going off course, walking, and almost dropping out.
Neatest thing found on a run:
A deer head with no body in sight.
Running related bathroom stop story:
The neighborhood on the way to the Garden of the Gods from CC does not have a lot of shelter. Especially someone's front lawn as they pull up into the driveway.
Running pet peeves:
People who feel the need to honk and yell from their cars? Is a runner really that exciting?
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
1997 MN state champion in the parallel Bars and still rings.
