City: Colorado Springs State: CO

Marital Status: Single

What I do for work:
I am self-employed, specialize in organizational leadership and development.

Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
Proto-typical "air force brat" - have lived in Arizona, Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, Utah, Mississippi, New Mexico, Illinois, Washington DC, Germany, and Colorado. The mountains of Colorado are home because of the trails, the best snow and skiing, rafting, climate, views...(unless you're thinking of moving here, then they all suck).

When I started running and what got me started:
Ran track back in high school, was challenged to run Pikes Peak by a friend some years back.

What does running mean to me:
Running is Zen... I have more "aha's" when out on the trail during a run.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results

What I like about trail/mountain running:
Trail running is an authentic commute with nature. Trees, streams, rocks, plus many critters!

Favorite running trail and why:
Red Rock, Intemann/Sec 16, Stratton Meadows, any trail

Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Golden Leaf Half Marathon, run between Snowmass and Aspen. It is mostly single-track trail through evergreen and aspen groves, when the aspen are at their peak fall colors.

Best running experience:
Ran briefly with a fellow I didn't know, whom I met on Barr Trail one year, training for the ascent. Found out he was 71, had run the Peak numerous times as well as Hawaii Ironman. What an inspiration!

Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
Went bungee jumping in Guatemala

Other hobbies and interests:
Skiing (alpine and nordic), rafting, backpacking, guitar picker.
