California and Colorado. It's hard to beat Colorado, but it could use a beach.
When I started running and what got me started:
Late 2006 to get in shape and run the ascent.
What does running mean to me:
Mostly fitness and friends

Dipsea invitational, Pikes Peak double, the 5 major marathons in my 50th year, guide running blind runners one year.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Getting away from the every day bustle.
Favorite running trail and why:
Whichever one I happen to be running.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Dipsea - It's a crazy, handicapped, small town trail run where first across the finish wins. Plenty of single track too.
Best running experience:
Mile 26.3 of any marathon.
Worst running experience:
ADT 2010 - Went out too fast and crashed at 17.
Neatest thing found on a run:
A change in perspective and attitude.
Running related bathroom stop story:
Running take 5 in the garden. A girl passed me, bolted into the bushes, then ends up passing me again! I don't get chicked much, but this was too much.
Running pet peeves:
Not running.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:

Other hobbies and interests:
Anything outdoors (that doesn't deal with heights)
