Age: 55.3 years old
Marital Status: Married to an amazing man - Clint

Amazing Daughter - Alyssa
What I do for work:
Director of Oncology Services - Memorial Health System - mostly am just passionate about caring for cancer patients. Nothing changes your life like a cancer diagnosis.
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Mostly Colorado, but with an Air Force Retiree as a father - Okinawa, Oklahoma, Washington as well. Life is so good in Colorado, why would we live any where else?
When I started running and what got me started:
Unlike many, I was not the high school running jock. Started running in a work colleague in 1985 or so as a way to get in shape. Have pretty much run ever since. I'm not a big competitor - only enter races as a means to kick my butt into some training and for the commraderie.
What does running mean to me:
There is little on earth that is as peaceful as gliding down a mountain trail. Are we lucky, or what? Since I work every day with people just fighting to live, I have the joy of never taking running for granted. Every step, be it a huge or small run, is a gift.

Not many compared to others....I love the incline, Barr trail and Blodgett and run on them pretty religiously, whether I'm training for anything or not. My biggest accomplishment is just being consistent...for over 25 years.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
The peaceful gratitude of each and every step. I feel like a kid bouncing over rocks, through gullys and down the steep terrain. Road running feels like work. Trail running feels like play.
Favorite running trail and why:
Love Blodgett trail - it's right out my door and has some great terrain. Who doesn't love Barr though???
Running pet peeves:
Trash and loose dogs. I love all animals, but not when they are charging at my while I'm sucking wind. I've tripped over many dogs on Barr trail...and have plenty of knee scars to show for it.
Other hobbies and interests:
Yoga, great beer, hanging with my family and wonderful friends....
