My daughter graduated from UNC Greeley as a nurse and works on a Med-Surg floor at a local hospital. My son is a sophomore in college at UNC and plays hockey for them.

Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
I was born in Erie, PA and moved to Colorado Springs when I started High School at Wasson. The Springs is pretty much my home town.
When I started running and what got me started:
I started running in college to stay in shape and decided to run in my first Ascent in 1980.
What does running mean to me:
To relax and focus

What I like about trail/mountain running:
I like the variety, the scenery and the accomplishment
Favorite running trail and why:
I love the trails in Cheyenne Mountain State Park. There is variety and I see wild animals on every run!

Imogene Pass - Beautiful scenery!!!

New York City marathon in the last 5 miles.
Neatest thing found on a run:
I found an old railroad spike on a run in Wyoming.
Running pet peeves:
Well, I don't really have any. I guess I would say that when runners do the yo-yo effect during marathons. They pass you, walk a bit, pass you, walk a bit, etc......
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I eat Oreo stacks when I am stressed!
Other hobbies and interests:
I like to tinker around the house
