“A man must love a thing very much if he not only practices it without any hope of fame and money, but practices it without any hope of doing it well.”

City: Colorado Springs State: CO

Age: 29.9 years old

Marital Status: Married

Family members:
Leah my wife
Chunk the pug/terrier mix
Maximus the min pin

What I do for work:
Engineering Technician. This is the title the company gives those of us who maintain the security system at Schriever.

Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
Fremont Nebraska and Albuquerque New Mexico. Colorado Springs is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

When I started running and what got me started:
My wife and I started going to Jack Quinn's running club last summer to get in shape to hike Pikes Peak, I then realized running 3 miles once a week wasn't going to do anything for me and I was in horrible shape so I decided to quit smoking and start putting in the miles last fall (2007) and got the bug.

What does running mean to me:
When I'm far into a run and really wore out, then realize I'm smiling and can't figure out why but know it has something to do with running.

Running accomplishments: View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
Mt. Evans Ascent and Pikes Peak Ascent.

Best running experience:
2008 Pikes Peak Ascent, when I started passing a lot of wave 1 people around Barr camp after starting in wave 2 and kept passing them until the finish without anyone passing me, that's when all the training over the past year finally paid off.
