Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
California, Arizona, and here in Colorado. If you find enjoyment in the outdoors and being active, nothing beats Colorado.
When I started running and what got me started:
Started running 6 years ago for something else to do
What does running mean to me:
Running for me is an escape. In a strange way, there can be nothing more relaxing than going for a long run.

Finished the 2007 Pike's Peak Ascent in my wiener suit.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Trail running keeps your brain busy.
Favorite running trail and why:
I like them all!
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
I've only done one real trail race, and that's the Ascent. I'll need to do it at least once or twice more before I know if I like it!
Best running experience:
Running around the harbor in Mallorca, Spain, watching the waves crash, the boats sailing, and the solitude that comes from being thousands of miles away from home.
Worst running experience:
Went for a run in downtown Chicago without a map. Figured I could see my hotel from anywhere. About 15 minutes into my run (and at least 5 or 6 turns), fog blew in off the lake. What was supposed to be a 40 minute run turned into nearly 2 hours!
Neatest thing found on a run:
Nothing good yet, but I'll keep looking. I did find a dead body on a bike ride once...
Running related bathroom stop story:
None to share, yet!
Running pet peeves:
None, really. Running for me is an escape. I think about the craziest things, and just mentally drift off. If I let things get to me, it would just take the fun out that!
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I turned 13 on Friday the 13th.
Other hobbies and interests:
Xterra triathlons, cycling, and any kind of movie!
