Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Lived in California most of my life, for 1 year in Kings Canyon/Sequoia National Forest I called home. Moved to Colorado in 2006. Great environment to raise a family. Great place to train, Great Views, great camping!
When I started running and what got me started:
I have always ran since I was a kid. In PE in elementary school while the kids were complaining about having to run I was already 100 yards ahead into my run!
What does running mean to me:
Freedom! Blessed to have the ability to be able to throw on the Asics and run for hours, experience the great views, and the adrenaline rush I get from challenging myself.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
The Great views, being in nature and easier on the body!
Favorite running trail and why:
Bear Creek Park. 1st club I ran in was at Bear Creek park preparing for the Summer Round Up Trail Run. I have a feeling I will be changing this section soon when I start getting in some more runs with the ICers
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
The 5K section of the Fat Tire Triathlon. Steep climb over boulders on single track..challenging and fun!
Best running experience:
Running through the Black Forest to Mount Rushmore in South Dakota!
Worst running experience:
Deciding to go 11 miles instead of 4 when my soon to be wife was expecting me back in 30 minutes. 2 hours later (I couldn't go very fast down Baptist road because it was covered with Ice)I get home and our friends wife was on the way over so she could come look for me...oops
Neatest thing found on a run:
Running related bathroom stop story:
Went around to the side of a Unisys's building in California when it was pouring rain and leaned against the wall and pooped. The stain was their for ever! I pointed it out to my Nephew months later when we went by it. He was a kid and it made a lasting impression on him. He loves to tell the story about how his Uncle took him to the site he pooped on a wall.
Running pet peeves:
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I take more baths than my kids and my FiancÚ Jo. I have a fascination with sharks and I am trying to talk Jo into going diving with Great Whites for our Honeymoon.
