Ascent. Standing in Manitou, Pikes Peak looks very far away. Even after completing the Ascent is still seems intimidating.
Best running experience:
returning to running after a serious injury that kept me out for 6 months
Worst running experience:
A training run last year before the Ascent. I didn't start till around noon in August. The sun totally zapped me of all energy. I barely made it to the rock tunnel. I was now very worried about even completing the ascent in a couple of weeks.

I found a fender cover from my car that had been lost a year ago while 4-wheeling my car in a field.
