What I do for work:
I'm a test manager with the Air Force and a Real Estate Broker for the Pikes Peak area.
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
I lived in San Jose for a year, too fast paced, and nobody smiled. Central Coast California for two years; beautiful weather and great places to run and bike. Very expensive, but I can see why. I love it here, b/c all our friends are here and you can't beat the backyard we have only minutes away.
When I started running and what got me started:
I started running more seriously about a year and a half ago, when I met Cornelius and Clint, and we'd go out on our "Suffering Sessions". Then I decided to train for my first marathon; I just did the Marine Corp Marathon this past October. I had a great time, and didn't do too bad, considering I was injured.
What does running mean to me:
Just getting out there, time to myself, and long-term wellness.
Running accomplishments:
View my Pikes Peak Ascent/Marathon results
Marine Corp Marathon (1st)--4:39 (the last 5 miles took 1.5 hours b/c of a bum knee acting up, otherwise I would have made my goal of sub-4hrs). My latest run was the 2008 Bull Canyon Run, where I had my best 10K, 46:24.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
The scenery/smell/quiet.
Best running experience:
Marine Corp Marathon . . . great spectator support and the scenery.
Worst running experience:
Disney Marathon . . . not much in the way of crowd support.
Other hobbies and interests:
Mountain Biking, Rock Climbing, Real Estate/Investing, Snow Sports, Home Repair, Visual/Performing Arts
