Colorado Springs has everything I want in a City except beaches.
When I started running and what got me started:
I started running this year (2007) because I was getting old and fat.
Now I'm just old.
Completed my first marathon. American Discovery Trail Marathon. 9/03/2007 Finished in 5 hours and 5 minutes.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
It is much more interesting then running on a treadmill. I love Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods so running there is just another way to enjoy the sights in the front range.
Favorite running trail and why:
I never met a trail that I didn't like.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
I like the Classic 10K because it is mostly down hill.
Best running experience:
My first medal was a bronze for my age group at the 5k in the State Games. I'll always remember that because before that I always ran in the middle of the pack.
Worst running experience:
No such thing. A bad day running is better than a good day at work.
Neatest thing found on a run:
Other hobbies and interests:
Skiing, hiking, biking, swimming, reading, anything computer related. Oh and beer drinking.
