What a beautiful place to play!
City: Centennial State: Co
Age: 56.4 years old
Marital Status: Attached
What I do for work:
I work as a Structural Engineer.
When I started running and what got me started:
I ran to play sports till I was 19 and then I stopped. I re-started running a little to be healthy 4 years ago. Then I stopped. This year I found a running partner and I found trail runs to be so much fun, I will never ever stop again and I look forward to adding more distance to my runs.
What does running mean to me:
I run because it takes me places that I would never go if I didn't run. Running makes me happy, relaxed and allows me to be committed to doing something good for myself that I really enjoy. Also, I love to chase my running partner up and down the trails... She takes me to the top of the world and some of the most amazing places that I have ever seen.

My first races were the 2011 Triple Crown; Garden of the Gods, Summer Round-up and The Pikes Peak Ascent.
Best running experience:
I trained to run the Pikes Peak Marathon with my running partner and we successfully ran the Marathon course 3 weeks prior to the actual running of the 2011 PPM. I ran the Pikes Peak Ascent on race day and cheered my partner on the following day as she completed the marathon.
Worst running experience:
I was out for a run with a Denver outdoor club. I looked back while I was running forward on a trail and the next thing I knew I was on the ground. I dislocated a finger, hurt my shoulder and got a little trail rash on my face. At the end of the run I went to the hospital to fix the finger and the doctor determined that I had destroyed my big toe nail and ended up with 13 stitches in my toe. I had to drop out of my first planned half marathon the following weekend and I had to run the Garden of the Gods a couple of days after getting the stitches removed from my toe.
Neatest thing found on a run:
My partner :)
Running related bathroom stop story:
Thank goodness for Barr Camp!!
Running pet peeves:
Trail Blockers..... People who go out to do a run and decide to walk. Walking is okay if that is the best you can do but you owe it to the people in back of you to try to yield to those who are still running.
Other hobbies and interests:
Photography and Mountian Biking (just starting that adventure)
