Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
I'm an Air Force Brat so I lived all over. I lived in California the longest but consider Colorado home now. I love the mountains and the slower lifestyle.

When I started running and what got me started:
In 2003 my husband asked if I'd like to cheer him on for the Ascent. I replied "No way, I'll join you instead."

What does running mean to me:
Freedom and sanity from responsiblities!

What I like about trail/mountain running:
Crazy as it sounds, I love the downhill. It's my chance to let it go.

Best running experience:
2006 Ascent. My boss was at the top yelling for me to get my ass moving so I could get the time I wanted. He even cut the switchbacks so he could stay ahead of me and cheer me on. Oh what a fun way to end the race!

Neatest thing found on a run:
The critters out there.

Running pet peeves:
Runners wearing headphones playing music so loud that I can hear it. How in the heck are they supposed to hear me coming or that I want to pass on a trail?

Other hobbies and interests:
Mentoring for the Leukemia Society Team in Training.

Other stuff:
I'd love to have times like the other Kelly Jackson out there. And to think, she's older than me too!
