What I do for work:
Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
I grew up in MS. I was stationed in Colorado Springs in 2004. I moved to Germany for 3 years and returned to the Springs in 2012.
When I started running and what got me started:
I grew up playing soccer thru college and continued running in the Army. I got into distance running in 2010 training for my first marathon.
What does running mean to me:
It gives me a break from work and lets me relax.
a couple of marathons here and there but my favorite is the Pikes Peak Marathon in 2014. It certainly wasn't fast, but i was just happy to finish it and it gave me motivation to get out and do more trail running.
What I like about trail/mountain running:
I just like being out in nature. I hate treadmills and running in town. There is really nothing to see there.
Favorite running trail and why:
Barr Trail.. because it sucks!
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Pikes Peak Marathon
Best running experience:
running with the sunrise striders each week. those guys really push it to improve their running times..
Worst running experience:
Garden of the Gods run with a wicked hangover...not fun at all.
Running related bathroom stop story:
sure I've come back from runs without my socks but no really good stories to go with it.
Running pet peeves:
people walking down the trails in groups that won't let you pass them, even after they look back at you and see that you are running. And people walking down Barr Trail after the incline that will not let you pass them.
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I can't think of anything good
Other hobbies and interests:
Skydiving, Scuba diving, cycling
I would really like to do improve my PPM time this year and maybe finish 2015 with a 70.3
