When I started running and what got me started:
I started getting serious in Jun of 2012. I was in the Air Force for 25 1/2 years and stayed in shape but did not take anything serious. In May of 2012 I did a Spartan Race and was not pleased with my results so I got serious.
What does running mean to me:
Being in tune with myself and pushing limits to improve my health and life longevity.

What I like about trail/mountain running:
Being 1 with nature and peacefulness, my wife and I enjoy it together.

I am still new to this so they are all wonderful.

I am new.
Running related bathroom stop story:
I train in my community at 4 in the morning and my first 7+ mile run I discovered why you strategically locate "stops" along the way or plan your morning better. Thank goodness for the dark and the brush on the side of the trail!!

Hunting and football
Over 2013 I am running 4 Spartan races; Miami Feb'13 8 miles 20+ obstacles, Ft Carson Sat and Sun May '13 5+ miles 25+ obstacles, Utah June '13 13+ miles 25+ obstacles and hopefully Vermont Sep '13 13+ miles 25+ obstacles. My wife, Rene', and I are signed up for the Pikes PeakRR Fall Series.
