What I do for work:
I am passionate about cooking so I work as a stay-at-home Mom, making our bread, pasta, pizza and everything else yummy on a daily basis!
Places I’ve called home and why I like where I am now:
Tennessee (grew up there), Spain and Italy. We moved to the States in 2008 after simply choosing a place on the map that has mountains (my husband's a climber). We'll be moving back to Italy (where my husband grew up and our daughter was born) in 2013 but in the meantime, we are enjoying all of the friendships we've made and the natural beauty we've experienced in Colorado!
When I started running and what got me started:
I started running in 2000 after a car accident in which I broke my femur, fibula, tibia and pelvis. Once healed, I kept building up my distance and at one point(when I lived in Europe) I was running marathon distance every weekend! Now, after children, I'm trying to work up my mileage again.
What does running mean to me:
It means exhilaration and accomplishment!
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Trail running is so good on your body...it doesn't leave you beat up in the end.
Other hobbies and interests:
Traveling, cooking, hiking.
