Places Ive called home and why I like where I am now:
Kentland, IN; Montecello, IN; Lafayette, IN; Richland, WA (twice); Las Vegas, NV; Idaho Falls, ID. Life west of the Mississippi is good.
When I started running and what got me started:
I ran some in High School, but really got started in College (before jogging was popular) in late 60's. Running was a good workout and cleared the mind.
What does running mean to me:
Just enjoy the the endorphins... You always feel good after a good run.
Run the Bloomsdays 12K (Spokane, WA) and the Bay to Breakers (San Francisco). Working up the gusto to do at least one marathon!
What I like about trail/mountain running:
The views, nature, etc. I have limited mountain running but enjoy it (was able to attempt Barr Trail).
Favorite running trail and why:
Not sure I have a favorite, I always enjoy the one I am on.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Garden of the Gods 10 mile. An easy run in a beautiful location.
Best running experience:
My first Bloomsday (2000) which was my first "timed" race. That started my looking for other runs.
Worst running experience:
Haven't had one (Unless you include the nude runners at the Bay to Breakers - Not a pretty sight!)
Running related bathroom stop story:
So far I have been lucky...
Running pet peeves:
People not paying attention while running (stopping in front of you or cutting in and out).
Other hobbies and interests:
Golf, skiing, softball, reading, "net surfing", wine and dine...
I plan to run at least one marathon in my liftime!
