New York. Raised in and proud to be from NYC.
Been in Colorado now 15 years, and love it completely.
When I started running and what got me started:
I used to weigh 320lbs. Former athlete that let himself go. I told all my friends I was going to lose weight and run the Denver Marathon four years ago, never looked back. 180lbs now.
What does running mean to me:
Life. A mad crazy love affair.
Running accomplishments:
7 Marathons. 25 Mile Collegiate Peaks Trail Run. Greenland 50k
What I like about trail/mountain running:
Easy on the; Knees, eyes, heart, and mind.
Favorite running trail and why:
Big Dry Crrek. Only cause I know every rock on the trail, old friend.
Favorite trail/mountain race and why:
Collegiate Peaks. First trail run race. Amazingly beautiful.
Best running experience:
First marathon. Sober for a year. Lost 140 lbs......
Worst running experience:
Missing the cutoff for the 50 at CPTR
Neatest thing found on a run:
The life I was missing as a Fat Ass Drunk.
Running related bathroom stop story:
Running in Phoenix thru a residential area, had to go so bad, ended up poopin on the street behind a grocery store!
Running pet peeves:
Dogs not on leashes
Something non running related that no one would guess about me:
I used to be a wreck.
Other hobbies and interests:
Golf. Hockey. Helping others to succeed.
Other stuff:
Training for the Leadville 100 this year.
